Frequently Asked Questions

Addressing common questions and concerns about Evangelical Universalism with honesty and biblical grounding.

This post is coming soon. Below are some of the questions we'll address.

Isn't this just wishful thinking?

A fair question. We'll examine the biblical and theological foundations—not starting from what we wish were true, but from what Scripture actually teaches about God's character and purposes.

What about verses that talk about "eternal punishment"?

We'll do careful word studies on the Greek term "aionios" and examine how it's used throughout Scripture. The answer may surprise you.

Does this mean everyone is already saved?

No. Evangelical Universalism still affirms that salvation comes through Christ, that sin has real consequences, and that there is genuine judgment. The question is about the ultimate outcome of that judgment.

What about free will? Can God save someone against their will?

This is one of the most important questions. We'll explore whether resistance to God can truly be "eternal" and what love's persistence means.

If everyone is eventually saved, why share the gospel?

We'll address why the timing and experience of salvation matters, and why the gospel remains "good news" that deserves to be shared.

Is this a new idea?

Not at all. We'll look at how this hope has existed throughout church history, from the early church fathers to today.
